福岡県出身。四児の母。書道の家系に生まれ、祖父や父を師とし、書活動では幼い頃より数々の賞を受賞。中学、高校の国語科と書道科の教職免許を取得するも、絵本の世界に魅了され書道と絵を組み合わせたアーティスト活動を始める。墨や珈琲、漆喰を画材に使用し、独特な魅力の作品を発信している。フランス、ドバイ、シンガポール、ニューヨーク、カンボジア、台湾、タイ、スペイン、そして2027年5月に控えるイタリア・フィレンツェなど、活動の場を海外へ広げている。
Born in Fukuoka Prefecture and a mother of four, I was raised in a traditional calligraphy family with my grandfather and father as my masters, winning numerous awards for my work since early childhood. Though I obtained teaching licenses for junior and high school Japanese language and calligraphy, I became captivated by the world of picture books and began a career as an artist combining calligraphy and illustration. Using ink, coffee, and plaster as my artistic mediums, I create works with a distinct and unique allure. I am expanding my creative footprint internationally, exhibiting in France, Dubai, Singapore, New York, Cambodia, Taiwan, Thailand, Spain, and upcoming in Florence, Italy, next May.
Tomo氏によって創り出された作品は、寓話的な要素もあり、哲学の考察でもあり、１つの物語として完成されています。そして、「生命」という人間の命題をも表現しています。しかしどの作品にも主人公の姿はなく、絵の中の出来事の観察者であったり、参加者であったり、それぞれのモチーフが画面上で対話をしていて、まさに１つの物語を読んでいるかのようです。
